Alpine (Downhill) Skiing!

Folks, skiing is the biggest New England winter activity around. Not only is it good exercise, but it is the most social sport you could participate in!

The sport itself is very challenging but fun and like no other. Maybe more importantly is that after several hours of skiing, you are entitled to drink a minimum a couple beers to celebrate your hard work and braving of the cold, windy New England climate.

There are some great spots to ski in New England that have not only good trails, but bars in the lodges and lots of bars and restaurants in the local town. Here are some links to check out:

I went to Mount Snow quite a few times while in grad school at Amherst... good mix of runs for a group of different skiing abilities.
